The Author Friends brings together Gail C. Powell (on the right) from the UK and Natalie Horseman (on the left) from the US, two independent authors with different genres, experiences and approaches, but a shared understanding of the realities of writing, publishing and trying to find readers.

​

Gail C. Powell is an author, book coach, editor and publishing professional with more than 20 years’ experience helping writers develop their books and bring them to market. She is the author of the Eliza Binks children’s historical fantasy series and has also written extensively within the coaching field. Gail’s particular passion is helping authors see the bigger picture: from shaping the book itself to grassroots marketing, building an audience and creating opportunities beyond online book sales.

Natalie Horseman is a multi-genre independent author and creative who understands first-hand how quickly an author can find themselves wearing every hat imaginable. She is the author of Blackwater Parish and the Goat on the Go series, and her own publishing journey led her to develop a strong eye for book branding, presentation and visual marketing. Natalie helps authors think beyond simply having a book available and towards creating professional, cohesive assets that help their work stand out in an increasingly crowded marketplace.

Together, they  share the things they've learned, the mistakes they'd rather you didn’t have to make, and the practical ideas that have genuinely helped them along the way.
